Jérôme’s Story

Jérôme is a real estate developer by trade, an artist by nature, and a collector by instinct. Architecture, sculpture, illustration, watchmaking, and automotive craftsmanship have all shaped his path.

Clavi, for him, is not just another object - it’s a convergence. A bridge between eras, disciplines, and ideologies.

When first introduced to Clavi, Jérôme was captivated by the paradox at its heart: a device designed not to hide, but to display. An object of defense that dares to be visible.

His vision for a Clavi edition born of folded steel and braided silk invokes the ancient spirit of the katana, the samurai’s sword. Not as a weapon of violence, but as a legacy of protection, discipline, and honor.

“Clavi isn’t just about security. It’s about memory. About transmitting not just wealth, but meaning.”

Jérôme draws inspiration from Japan, a culture where tradition and innovation walk side by side.

His Clavi is imagined as a modern artifact, forged in the same spirit as tamahagane the steel used by master swordsmiths: symbolising resilience, precision, and timeless meaning.

The Monolith becomes the blade. The base becomes the tsuka and tsuba, bound in silk or leather, shaped for both grip and grace.

When asked what his Clavi should evoke, Jérôme didn’t speak in terms of function, but of legacy. For him, Clavi is not just a safeguard for assets, but a vessel of memory. A modern heirloom.

It should carry weight not only in material, but in meaning. Like a sword passed down through generations, it must feel earned, sacred, and enduring.

“In a hundred years, my descendants might know nothing of me. But if they hold this object, they’ll wonder who I was. And in that, I remain.”

Jérôme plans to place his Clavi on display in the heart of his home acting as totem and bridge between centuries.

A reminder that mastery is not measured by possession, but by how one chooses to protect, preserve, and pass on knowledge and value.

Elevate. Transform. Empower.
